God
Centered: Everything we do at Gracehill is centered around
God and His purposes. We are not asking God to bless what we are
doing. We are asking God if we can be a part of the really cool
things He is doing around the world.
(Ex. 20:1-6, Ps. 18; Matt. 22:37-40)
Relevant:
We desire to gain an understanding of our culture and how to present
the good news in a way that is pertinent to the times in which we
live. All of our teaching, studying, serving and relational activities
are opportunities to connect to God and others in ways that are
applicable to our daily lives.
(I Chron. 12:32; I Cor. 9:19-23)
Authentic
Community: As followers of Christ, we yearn to grow in full
devotion to Him and His cause. We believe life-change and spiritual
growth occur best in the context of small groups which grow over
time and multiply.
(Acts 2:42-43; Heb. 5:13-14; Eph. 4:14-16)
Changed
Lives: The life, death and resurrection of Christ have the
power to change lives. At Gracehill a win for us is seeing Jesus
change people, one life at a time. As lives are changed, families
are changed and our city will be transformed.
(John 5:24, 10:10; 2 Cor. 3:18)
Excellence:
If we give our best for our people, how much more should we pursue
excellence with God? Gracehill does not settle for less than excellence.
We are not seeking perfection, but giving our best effort in serving
God. We set standards that raise the bar for everyone. God expects
our best, not what is left over.
(Malachi 1:7,8; I Cor. 3:9-15)
Helping
others discover Christ: We won’t be content until we
have extended God’s love and hope to every person we can possibly
reach with the saving message of Jesus Christ. The unchurched and
unconnected are our highest priority. Lost people matter to God,
therefore they matter to us.
(Matt. 28:18-20; I Corinthians 9:19-23)
Intentional
Serving: We believe every person is uniquely gifted by God
to serve somewhere in ministry. The staff exists to help equip,
empower and release all people to fulfill the ministries of the
church by using their gifts. Our greatest calling is to serve those
outside the walls of our church whom Jesus called “the least
of these.” For this reason we share our resources—both
time and treasures—in mission.
(Matt. 25:31-46; Eph. 4:11-16; I Pet. 4:10-11)
Lending
a Hand: Our ministries are designed to meet the felt needs
of people. If a ministry is not meeting needs, it will cease to
exist. We desire to minister to the “whole person”,
including spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. “Find
a need and meet it!”
(Isaiah 58:11-12; Romans 12: 4-13; I John 3:16-18)
Leading
with Biblical Truth: We believe that the Bible is our roadmap
for life. The Bible is taught and memorized in a multitude of settings
including the Sunday Morning Experience, Connection Groups, Bible
studies, and is demonstrated through our lives.
